History of the Stampede
The Indianapolis Stampede are a full-contact Minor League football organization based in Marion County, in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana
Established in 2008, KC Carter took over the team when the then owner walked away from the team. KC then changed the name of the team and its logo, to the Indianapolis Stampede. The Stampede has experienced a great deal of success in its first year by Finishing at 9-3 and reaching the MFL Semi Finals.
The Stampede hope to continued its success in their second season by advancing to the Mid-States Football League Championship Game.
The second season saw some highs and lows on it way to winning its First Hoosier Division Championship and making the playoffs. We finished with a even 4-4 win/lose over all 4-5. Our team stats where always in the top six in the league. We put 7 players in the League All Star Game and three where put on the International All Star Game in Homestead,FL, along with their Head Coach. The Coach was put into the American Football Hall of Fame for the second time in two seasons. This time for Women's Pro-football and Semi-pro football as well.
Dedicated to the seriousness of the sport, as well as team spirit in all events, the Stampede aims to provide a fun, family oriented, atmosphere for their games. In addition, the team enjoys providing inexpensive athletic entertainment for its local and neighboring communities, as well as being active in the community.
